The Good News of Jesus Christ
The Problem
All Have Sinned
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."— Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."— Romans 6:23
Every person ever born has sinned against God. Sin separates us from our Creator and the penalty for sin is death - both physical and spiritual, eternal separation from God.
The Solution
God's Love
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."— John 3:16
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."— Romans 5:8
God loves you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die in your place. Jesus took the punishment that you deserved.
Your Response
Believe and Receive
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."— Romans 10:9
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."— John 1:12
Salvation is a free gift, received by faith. Acknowledge your sin, believe that Jesus died for you and rose again, and receive Him as your Lord and Savior.
The Promise
Eternal Life
"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."— John 10:28
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."— 2 Corinthians 5:17
When you receive Christ, you are born again. You become a child of God with the promise of eternal life. This is not just a future hope, but a present reality.
A Prayer of Salvation
This is not a "repeat after me" prayer. Salvation comes through genuine faith and repentance from the heart—not from reciting words.
What you need repentance of is between you and the Lord. Search your heart honestly, confess your sins to Him, and turn from them.
The prayer below is simply a guide to help you express your faith. Speak to God in your own words, from your own heart:
Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that He rose from the dead on the third day. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I turn away from my sin and turn to You. I receive Your gift of eternal life. Thank You for loving me and forgiving me. Thank You for making me Your child. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen. "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." — Acts 2:38
Did You Pray This Prayer?
If you prayed from your heart and are willing to obey Acts 2:38, welcome to the family of God! The angels in heaven are rejoicing over you right now.
